Diploma in Technology Commercialisation
In today's fast-paced competitive environment, organisations both large and small face many challenges. Existing emerging technologies are just one of the challenges that face organisations performance every day. With the introduction of new technologies many organisations are often in the dark about what they should be doing or implementing for business process improvement. While they can establish a certain level of performance based on what they use every day they are left wondering what should they be using for commercialisation success in the future.
For today’s global market technology needs to be surrounded by successful commercialisation so that it can be marketed and sold and so that organisations can recognise its best applications and adapt it to meet market needs. The term technology commercialisation inextricably links entrepreneurship, product innovation and development, technology marketing, business planning, finance and capital and technology transfer. In order for the new technology to get to market it must be productised to meet with customer needs and have the potential to alert potential buyers of its benefits. Keeping these thoughts in mind the AUA are currently looking to launch a professional diploma course to improve Irelands expertise in Technology Commercialisation.
Through a combination of teaching delivery methods, curricular structure, and a practicum requirement in venture creation, this program hopes to produce the next generation of individual entrepreneurs focused on high technology.
